I miss the campaign trail. Yes, it was grueling, but it was also energizing and what we did together was important for the country. You heard me speak time and again about how critical the current times are for America. Because I believe that so profoundly, I have helped form Free and Strong America PAC to promote conservative policies and candidates. Senator McCain’s presidential campaign is at the top of the list.

I haven’t been sitting on my hands these last few months, nor do I intend to do so. I have spoken at GOP events from Nevada to Pennsylvania to Maine. Ann and I are raising funds for key campaigns across the country. This PAC will enable us to keep fighting for the causes and candidates that will strengthen American values.

The best part of the last few months has been seeing the kids and the grandkids. Tagg and Jen live just down the street—we drop in on them like Frank and Marie on “Everybody Loves Raymond.” Ben and Ande live one town away from us. Great news there—they are expecting their first. Craig and Mary, back in New York, are due for their second in mid July. Josh and Jen were rumored to be mulling politics in Utah but are planning to stick to the private sector. And they too are expecting; it will be their fourth. Matt and Laurie had their fourth child a few months ago. So four new grandchildren in one year. What a pace!

 Ann and I want to thank all of you who believed in our campaign. We are not disappearing—we will continue to fight for a free and strong America. And we hope to see you as we crisscross the country.
