There is no better friend to the American taxpayer than U.S. Senator Jim DeMint (R-South Carolina). That's why Governor Romney hosted a fundraiser for Senator DeMint at the Taj Hotel in Boston this morning. Romney introduced DeMint by recalling DeMint's role in his 2008 presidential campaign. In South Carolina, DeMint escorted Romney to small town picnics and BBQ joints, riding in the "Mitt Mobile" almost every time Romney visited the Palmetto State. Romney said Senator DeMint is a consistent, thoughtful, strong conservative voice in the Senate and that he continues to look to him for his perspective on the challenges facing America.
