In the interest of fairness, I would give the President a D as he has made some positive decisions relating to Iraq and Afghanistan. However, I would then have to suspend him from school for lying, bullying and refusing to listen. I would then send him for counseling to help with his delusions of grandeur. Finally, I would insist he get a complete physical exam as it seems he has serious sight and hearing deficits.

I could not honestly give President Obama more than an F. He speaks of bi-partisanship but excludes Republicans from participating in the Health Care planning, he speaks of fiscal responsibility but talks of penalizing big corporations (I'm sure they will just take a hit to their profits and won't pass it on), and transparency yet needs Congress to act now so they can't see the pork hidden in the details of the "debt relief." Mr President you fail!!

Since I am only 22 and rely mostly on what I've read and heard about previous administrations, I won't compare President Obama to others. Instead, I will hold him to a standard of what I expect from my President. I expect my President to keep his campaign promises. I expect my President to tell the American People the truth. I expect my President to explain why he can't answer a question if he can't and to never make up an answer he thinks will gain him popularity. I expect my President to take ownership of his share of the blame and praise for the state of our country. I expect my President to make the tough decisions that will determine the future of this country and to not pass off his responsibilities to others. According to all of these measures, my President has failed and I HOPE he CHANGEs soon.

President Obama gets an F on this interview for accepting the premise of the question and answering it. If I had to grade his first year as president I would give him a "D". An "F" would mean repeating the year and we cannot afford that. He could start moving in the right direction by working with congress to cut every federal tax rate by 10%. That would create investment and equal jobs.

My small grandchildren ages 4 and 5 know enough that if you go to the store and you don't have any money then you don"t buy anything without the money to pay for it. This administration should understand this principle. You don't borrow your way out of debt instead by borrowing you dig a deeper hole. When is this administration with its so called experts on economical issues understand this. One way to get the deficit down is to get rid of all the czars with their high paying salaries that we the tax payers are paying. This would be a start of his so called cut on spending. In fact if you add all the salaries up that they all get it would be a big start. He does not them to do his job. We are paying him to do his job. We do not need to pay twice.

I have always been one who believes that we should show support for a president once they are voted into office. I believe that if the majority votes for something, the minority should respect that decision. However, I feel that President Obama has ignored MOST of the people that voted him into office, to cater to the far left agenda. I cannot believe all the spending that was done and rushed through! I am also appalled that the President and Congress KNOW that the majority of Americans DO NOT support the Health Care Reform they are proposing, but seem not to care. It disgusts me that they are not going to represent the people who they are being paid to represent. I would have given Mr. Obama a C about 2 months ago. I felt that though I didn't agree with many of his ideas, he was doing what he felt was best. However, that grade has slipped in recent weeks as I see that he is not in Washington to represent the people any longer, but there to represent his own interests. It makes me mad, because I want to be able to support our President, but he is not earning America's support or respect any longer.

President Obama has no problem pointing the finger at the corporate executives who received bonus payouts after accepting government bailout funds, but will reward himself with a B+ for the most disastrous first year a President has been in office?!? The "F" I would submit is for failure to provide transparency, as promised in healthcare reform talks, failure to provide a decrease in jobless rates, failure to adhere to the costitution as it was written, failure to be honest about the content of the health care bill as it was originally delivered, and if nothing else, failure to keep Nancy Pelosi from jumping up every time he speaks!

President Obama gives himself an overall B+ eh? Shall we break it down? Math: D For a man who wanted to decrease the deficit, you'd think he'd have learned the difference between spending and income. Economics: F Tied to his score with math, he has INCREASED spending, instead of cutting back dead bureaucratic weight and entitlements. He has also proposed tax hikes that will shrink the ability of small businesses to grow. Plays well with others: C- Despite campaign promises to the contrary, Obama didn't so much reach out to the Republican Party as invite them to join in with what he was doing, namely steamrolling spending and Health Care bills through both houses. Obviously there are more aspects to the grading policy, but the averaging isn't looking good for him so far.

I just wish he would focus on more issues than just health care. The common man is starting to buckle under taxes, we still have welfare dependency, illiteracy is on the rise, and a lot of people still don't have a High School education, and teachers are still underpaid! Although I might suggest that many of these issues would be better addressed on a state or local level. But getting an endorsement from the government would be nice.

Solid C. Very average. Putting health insurance reform before job creation was his big mistake. Why? Because even Obama knows government cannot create jobs, but only provide the type of free market incentives (lower taxes, less regulation, stable economic outlook) that will allow the economy to grow the way the economy has always grown - motivated, educated, hard working Americans with capital for production and an ability to get products to market. A working model of realistic, innovative, AMERICAN health care reform has already been implemented by Governor Romney. Obama would have done well to learn from an American model that worked, instead of attempting to invent the wheel. A strong personality, ill prepared and woefully experienced to lead has produced the expected result - average. Problem is, at this point in our nations history, we need exceptional leadership, not average. Hopefully, come 2012, America will not settle for average, but elect a man with outstanding achievement as an executive in government and the private sector. Mitt Romney is that man.

I didn't vote for the President, but I feel that we should support him, however, I am not happy with the bailout of the banks. I feel that continually borrowing money from China is going to cripple our country and the Health Care Reform is a joke. I also strongly disagree with his plan to make illegal's - legal. How is it fair that we carry the burden of paying for any illegal and then they get the right to be called an American. I believe we need reform for Health Care, but I have one question...how come American's do not recieve the same health care the "voted" in officials get. Correct me if I am wrong but each elected official is there to work for the people. So if they work for the people, how come they get such great health care coverage and we have to settle for whatever our company can afford to offer us or if self employed what you yourself can afford. To me that doesn't sound fair. So we pay for the "top of the line" insurance for the elected official and we don't get the same. I believe President Obama is to soft on the safety of this Country. To me we need to be more aggressive when it comes to the safety of all American's. Do I hate it everytime I hear another American is killed, wounded or MIA in Iraq and Afganistan, but if we were more aggressive and went after the terrorists, we could possible get out of their.

President Barack Obama has earned a failing grade as the Commander in Chief and CEO of our great nation. He has found a way to spend more of OUR money, promise healthcare reform that limits freedom and will cost taxpayers a fortune, appoint extremists to positions that no one would ever elect them to, and alert our terrorist enemies of the exact dates that they should prepare to invade the areas which our stabilizing forces will be leaving. If he is seeking to weaken our country, he has earned an A+. President Obama's first year does not deserve a grade for no president should be graded on the accomplishments of a year. But his first year has shown the people of the United States and the world who he truly is, a liberal ideologue who is so far out of touch with the country that he could not convince even a super majority of his own party to pass his agenda. My prayer is that he takes heed of the warning signs and begins to use his remaining time to strengthen this country and uphold the constitution. We need to both pray for our current elected leaders and support and invest in candidates who stand for the conservative values that are at the core of a free and strong America.

I would give the President a "solid" D-. Mr. President, your state of the union address mentioned that so far your administration has created over two million jobs. You neglected, however, to mention that unemployment rates are nearly a full .8% higher than they were in January of 2009. Why do make such deceiving statements? The fact of the matter is that despite your incredible "stimulus" package and the insane amounts of spending you have already done, this country is no better off than it was a year ago when you took office. In fact, it is worse off now that it must pay back the incredible deficit created by the stimulus bill, and yet jobs still are not growing at a faster rate than they are being lost. Additionally, if you do get the health care bill signed, that will again force this country to dish out more money than it can afford. I implore you, Mr. President, to not bankrupt this country in the name of a theory that will help us bounce back from a recession. Please learn from your first terrible mistake, and stop spending money on programs that you think might help the economy. If it did not work the first time, what makes you think throwing more money (that the country does not have) is going to do? The reason, Mr. President, that you do not get a solid "F" is because I believe you have been trying very hard to work with the GOP in order to get things done. Too many times have Presidents failed to get anything done due to political views. I applaud your effort, sir, but please take a hard look at your policies so you can see for yourself that spending is not the answer. Additionally, please refrain from making statements that paint a better picture than you know is untrue. It makes you look like, pardon the phrase, a politician.

Despite being in control for the entire duration of his presidency to date, democrats have failed to work together, struggling in a power-play against their own president, whose policies are unpopular within their ranks. The result is a fractured congress, a lame-duck president, and policies that are spending our money with no positive results. The control mechanisms put in place have finally broken the back of the American Voter and Massachusetts proves that we are finally through with accepting the glow and blow from Obama. I give him an "F" because he fails to pass effective cost-control legislation, fails to effectively fight terrorism, fails to elicit cooperation in his own ranks, and fails to keep his campaign promises on a regular basis.

Since unemployment has grown greater than predicted, as well as the US Debt I can't see how he could get more than a C- at the very best. That's only because he showed a little backbone when at the G8 and speaking about Iran and did get some of the bank bailout money paid back. He'll also cite the recent economic GDP growth, but that will be adjusted down to reflect only 4th quarter holiday spending.

Sadly I believe his rating is a C- The closed door wheeling and dealing, the partisanship of his administration, his willy nilly spending that will never be caught up and repaid, his choice of surrounding himself with people of questionable character, the blatant disregard for the needs of Americans, turning a blind eye to the reality of the unemployment numbers, refusing to believe that the majority of Americans have turned against him because of the performance or lack thereof for his first year in office. I am truly afraid of the direction this country is going under his direction. If he stays on the course he has set, we are in serious trouble.

We send our tax dollars to at least 8 or 10 foreign countries who hate us and vote against us 70 to 80% of the time. Charity begins at home "REMEMBER OUR OWN" Eminant domain has taken American homes and property. Take back our borders by building places for our Military to train. So far, Obama has been the least effective President since Jimmy Carter. His concept of leading -- is talking. He doesn't grasp the fact of "over exposure". He has shown no understanding of the values which have made this country great. Secondly, he handed off authority to Congress to create & push his mistaken health care program --- (and that was simply another lobbyist "pay-day" ) rather than concentrating on the issues of tort reform, insurance portability & lower cost "major medical" for those that can't afford the cost of comprehensive care. Obviously, the entire package has brought fear to the elderly, who are concerned about violations to their contract with MediCare. He has spent theTax Payers's dollars for many generations to come ---- on Stimulus & TARP legislation which was simply an appeasement of his special interest gtoups -- particularly Unions. He has de-motivated the small business community with his lack of knowledge & understanding of the needs & importance of these people who are the foundation of the United States . Essentially, Obama is a failure.

Pres. Obama has forgotten that this is a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. Maybe he never knew this? It seems to be all about his personal agenda and not what we as Americans really need or want. He is too eager to spend our precious tax dollars in what I think is reckless abandonment.

Jobs, Obama does not know how to create them. If he did he would bolster business not attack it, he would fund struggling employers and rebuild the industries we chose and love to work in instead of mandating we re-train for these so called green jobs only he and his cronies believe in. I don't want to build windmills, or assemble solar panels, I want to build a strong business of my own. I don't want dollars that could go to staffing and expansion going to taxes.

With Washington politics there is one answer, Term Limits, Term Limits, Term Limits. Now is the time! There is a concrete way to make Term Limits a reality. Have a new contract with America with Term Limits featured as a separate item. The Term Limits contract should be signed by incumbent members of BOTH parties vowing to see the legislation through and then NOT RUNNING AGAIN if they are beyond the proposed Term Limits.

I believe that the President should have put all his attention on the job problem instead of bailing out things that should have failed because of bad management. Then putting all his attention on passing a Health Care bill that is so stupid, it should never have had all the time and energy of the Congress spent on it. If that much time had been spent on jobs we would probably have saved a few jobs in this country. I'm just sick to think of how they are spending our money and bankrupting our country. A free and strong America mens to me, A place where we follow the Constitution as written, without any activist judges interpreting it. An America that is free from special interests. An america where all religions are treated fairly under the law, where corporations are no longer equated with flesh and blood human beings. Equal protection for people. When the government can get back to doing what its supposed to do, enforcing contracts and enforcing justice for all people. The executive branch needs to get back to basics and stop going around congress, that is not Constitutional. A stronger america would mean we stop trying to tell other nations what to do. As a Supposed Christian nation we should stop preaching at the barrel of a gun, (we are literally doing this as brought to light by ABC and the inscription of bible quotes on guns in Afghanistan story) that is not what jesus would do. Obama has failed as a leader. Instead of getting people together , finding compromise and encouraging all Americans, he has pitted groups of Americans against other groups of Americans and the result has been a country further divided. Instead of finding a balanced, practical solution of healthcare reform, he has tried to manipulate a solution by giving gifts (taxpayers money in disguise) to certain organizations, specific states, and special interests. He has ignored the majority of American opinion and seeked the passing of his legislation only to seek personal and party success in the name of "what the people want". A BIG LIE! A leader is a trusted servant of the people. This man has very poor leadership skills. Great oratory skills, but those are only empty words and attempts to manipulate public opinion for what he wants, not for what the majority of American citizens want.

I read that obama traveled more in his 1st. year than any other President has in their 1st year. The cost of his Military and Secret Service protection, Fuel and preparation must be astronomical. When he goes abroad, the Military has to fly fuel and food in for his vacation. That would be for 2 Air Force One's and the limos, Helocopters etc. No one ever mentions these things, but if the true cost were known,, I bet he might stay home more often. Who said he could have these vacations anyway?? Flying around on my dime, eating filet minon and living high on hog. I say stay home ,save your country some money, feed our hungry children, rebuild our infra-structure. Be our President.

If he had spent as much time on 'fixing' the economy," instead of pushing to get his healthcare reform, that no body, that really knows what it says, wants. This country might be on it's way back to a stable country. Also, if this, and other governments took care of the American People, before taking the American peoples money, to take care of illegals, then this country would be better. And, if he gave as much bailout money to the American people, and let them spend it in the economy, we would already be back in business. And, shame on any President of this Great Nation, for apologizing, to other countries, for what "he" thinks is wrong...He scares me to death, with his way of thinking and acting!

Effective conservative government is best used at the local level, not the national level. Democratic peoples, during periods of relative equality, promote an endless hatred against the slightest economic privilege. In this respect, they demand economic equality. The Executive responds with progressive ideals and statist economic bailouts or stimulus packages. As long as the Executive can maintain the proverbial wool over their eyes, democratic people will exercise their right to vote for their man over and over again as in the case of Wilson, FDR, Clinton, and perhaps, Obama. President Obama's first year in office should receive nothing less than an F. 2009 was riddled with failure, especially in regards to Obama’s campaign promises. After assuring Americans he would renew relationships with our European allies, he snubbed UK Prime Minister Brown and French President Sarkozy on more than one occasion, damaging relations with our friends. Obama pledged to fix the economy and enacted a massive spending package; this failed to truly stimulate anything, and only resulted in increasing unemployment numbers. Later in the year, Obama attempted to use his celebrity status to bring the 2016 Olympics to the United States. His efforts failed here too, as Brazil took home the gold in International Olympic Committee wooing. Perhaps Obama's most significant failures include the matter of national security. Under his watch, government agencies failed to detect the Fort Hood shooter's shift to militant Islam. The Underwear Bomber was allowed into the US because of failures in the screening process - we're lucky a real disaster did not happen.

First of all, no President should EVER grade himself. A humble answer should have been "Well, I'm trying really hard to represent American and help the country get back on it's feet. It's not up to ME to grade myself, it's up to the American People!" Anyone who grades themselves like Obama did has an ego problem and for him to give himself a B-, he must really think he's doing great things. President Obama, Bill Clinton did more for the American people in his first year then you have done and he didn't have to BULLY anyone to get his way either.

We didn't elect a president to travel all over the world apologizing to our enemies for things we don't need to apologize for just to impress a Nobel Peace Prize committee. We don't need our sovereignty withered away at the hands of the UN. And this health care debacle is first rate crap!! The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is about the end of any nation. B-. He is my president, America remains the world's greatest hope, and it’s important to remember that what unites us as Americans is far more powerful than what divides us. President Obama has worked all year to make improvements domestically and protect America from external threats. Unfortunately, his efforts have been misguided, and it is not only the thought that counts. I applaud him for taking steps to reform health care, because it is clear that the system could be improved for all Americans. His method, however, has been opaque, unyieldingly partisan, and flatly wrong-headed. Abroad, his decision to bolster our presence in Afghanistan was commendable, but his diplomatic strategy regarding Iran has not been proactive enough, nor has he been able to prevent terrorism from reaching American soil. I give him a B-, but the President owes it to us to earn an A every year.

When the job market continues to decline at a rate that requires my children to have to continue to move further away from one another just to "get by" and the government has the audacity to say that jobs are getting better (where??) that is a failure in the system. Families are being torn apart all over this country. Stating in December that unemployment is improving was absolutely rediculous. Temporary jobs for the holiday season in retail should not even be considered since now in January those jobs are gone. The first week of the new year brought numerous lay-offs in areas that definitely caught people off guard, local government agencies, city and county employees that have already given so many concessions on pay and benefits are now the proud owners of new pink slips. The unemployment rate does not even include those young people (18-25) that were refused unemployment benefits because of their limited years of employment. It is appalling on all levels to listen to our leaders say that they are doing a great job while we are all just barely hanging on to the threads of normal life.

The Democrats have depended on Senator Kennedy for too long, and need to try out some of his methods and policies. The President has done everything he can outside of Congress to get the bill approved, because he thinks that he is sending the bill into a black hole. Quit choking our business owners and tax payers and let them return this country to it's glory days. During Obama's campaign, mostly, I was worried about the security of our great nation. I never felt he understand the seriousness of the enemy we are facing, nor the war in which we are involved. It hasn't changed; I worry just as much, if not more, about keeping the American people safe. However, he has failed in matters of trust. He ran as a democrat, and basically, he is a leftist, liberal progressive. His goal was to win the election so that he could change the face of our country. He's managed to win. But we cannot allow him to create a situation in which we all become complacent in allowing him to embarass us, put our lives in jeopardy, bankrupt us, and lose our spirit.

Americans are seeing their freedom being sold to the highest bidders, though we will have to foot the bill, and he is granting "rights" to terrorists. Who is Obama kidding? He really needs to look back into the past history of America and learn from mistakes of other leaders. That also goes for our current politicians in D.C. If they would all take a look at what the causes of World War II were, our great nation is facing the same problems today that Germany faced then. Inflation, politicians fighting within towards each other, currency at an all time low, etc. The list is long and grows daily. Obama and our politicians are running this great country into the ground. When a President of the U.S. makes a statement that the "U.S. Constitution is an old document and needs to be revised," does not have the vision of what this country stands for.

I am generously rating his first year as Grade D. In his inaugural address he mentioned "the enormity of the task before us" - I must conclude that he meant enormity in its original sense - something of great evil. During one of his campaign speeches, he praised the USA as the greatest country on earth and then proceded to state his aim to change it. Based on these observations he does not lie all the time. In addition to occaisional truthfulness, he has recently discovered that we are at war with al-quaeda. He also has not given away the Panama Canal, perhaps only because Jimmy Carter beat him to it.

The first year is graded as a D and has been the worst so far - close to Jimmy Carter days. Rampant unemployment, major job losses, high credit creditor's fees and much more that has made the working people suffer unspeakable losses of their home to their jobs. Why did he wait for credit card legislation until Feb 2010? This should have been instituted in mid-2009 or asap. He cannot keep blaming the Bush administration and this goes for Congress too. The state of this country was in better shape with Bush and Bush was not trying to win a popularity contest or on TV everyday. It is unrealistic to think any President, Congress or administration can keep all campaign promises but they need to work on what will make America stronger as best as possible. Passing a Health Care Bill that no one wants, which we cannot afford, which 50% of doctors say they will quit if it passes, which is bound to degrade the best Health Care system in the world and Obama claims he is helping the nation. President Obama is right; he gets a B+ for "blunder." He made gross and careless blunders; and he then had the guts to say that he deserves an A- once healthcare is passed, which clear stands for "absurdity." Mr. President, I ask you, what have you done about economic recovery and high unemployment. What about your stimulus, which has failed? Do you really think that your healthcare plan is what's best for America? Obama and his minions have solved these issues by prescribing more government as the solution, and they have continuously blamed the Bush administration for the nation's economic state and place on the world stage. I can't wait until 2010, and hopefully by 2012 we'll have some genuine change!

Sadly, it is impossible to give this president anything besides a failing grade for his first year in office. His lack of judgment, from those chosen to be a part of his administration, to the policies he has implemented or championed, is absolutely astounding. Even though President Obama claims to know the importance of a thriving and vibrant private sector, his policies have done nothing but hurt the business owners who fuel our economic engine. His representation of our great country as one that is sorry for our past and ready to let other nations pass us by, is simply reprehensible. He has tried to appease those who wish us harm, and has not stood by those who have called us "friend" for many years. We can only hope that the past year has opened the eyes of many as to what liberal and socialist policies produce. I think perhaps President Obama has succeeded in one area; and that is creating a tidal wave of conservatism that will come crashing down around him in 2010 and 2012.

I know on its face, it is very difficult to comprehend Obama giving himself a B+ after a year of Blunders, Broken campaign promises & Botched national security, but you need to understand that he is talking in code (and seems rather amused in the clip that no one is picking up on it): B - Back to pre-9/11 national security P - Private Sector overrun by the Public Sector L - Lobbyists Galore in his administration U - Unemployment rise to unprecedented levels S - Stimulus that only stimulated government yep .. B plus does a good job defining his first year in office.

The president perhaps deserves a B+ for his accomplishment toward his personal goal... "We are just 5 days away from a fundamental transformation of America." From my (rather conservative) perspective, we have been transformed in a VERY negative direction. One from which, I fear, there is very little probability of return.

An "F" for sure. The economy has been even more trashed since he took over. The Health care situation is truly stupid. One of my friends was a gigantic Obama supporter because his mom was one of those local campaign people. Even he now thinks Obama is doing badly. So, his biggest supporters are turning on him. If he gets a B+, then this country is completely lost because I am in High School and if I were to do this badly on a "project" this big, I would get an F for sure. So, why should he get a break just because he is President Obama. It does not make sense.

I don't think President Obama even deserves to be graded. It would be more appropriate to dismiss him from class for his repeated ill-advised antics and expel him immediately. He's keeping his classmates from progressing. We've got to stop playing along with his assaults on our political sensitivities. November 2010 will hopefully stop the bleeding. Healing and reconstruction can begin in 2012. In the meantime, become informed, get involved, and be prepared. American can still be that shining city on a hill.

This President deserves an "F". He is not qualified to lead our country. We have more corruption in Washington then ever; with special deals being made just to get this failure of a Health Care bill passed, record breaking deficits, higher unemployment, sinking economy. He is arrogant, self centered and loves to see and hear himself talk. We are headed for Socialism. Get involved Americans....we can stop this.

I'd give Obama a barely passing grade of a D. While his reckless policies towards the war on terror and enemy detainment almost sent his C-/D+ standard liberalism into F territory, his incompetence at getting much of anything passed saved him from spinning into the abyss. I would say his political incompetence and poor salesmanship are the saving graces of his domestic policy and thus presidency.

I am saddened the domestic politics has clouded President Obama's policy views. Never more clearly was this exhibited than in his delay to act on our situation in Afghanistan. Our President sat back and waited for his focus groups and polling efforts to come back and tell him what decision would be most popular, rather than doing what he thought was best. Making such a decision with the lives of our soldiers on the line frightens me and removes any "hope" I ever had that this man is confident in the job he is doing. I send him my best, but do not think he is qualified for,or capable of doing the job that our country needs him to do.

This man is too focused on himself and his own partisan agenda to even realize the misery he is putting Americans through. With the average citizen rising up against healthcare, the unemployment rate soaring and terrorists actively planning to blow up American planes, he gives himself B+? Obama and the rest of Washington are in for a rude awakening this fall when Americans show up to the polls, not to just vote against Obama and the Democratic party, but to stand up, raise their voices and vote FOR a free and strong America.

One look at the corruption going on to pass the health care bill. One look at the apologies we have endured from heads of different departments. One look at the wasted millions on Michelle's trips. I think a C, C- is a fair grade for the president. I would've perhaps gone lower as a result of the failed stimulus, health care debacle, rising unemployment, etc., but he gets points in my book for alienating his lefty allies and making the correct choice to send the additional 30,000 troops into Afghanistan

Obama has failed across the board. More importantly than failing miserably in the fields of National Security, Economic Recovery, Jobs, and Government Transparency is the fact that he has proven himself to be a liar. He has broken virtually every campaign he made to the American people. Tax hikes? They're coming. The War on Terror? Well, he renamed it to make us feel safer. He promised to bring integrity to the government, but can't condemn ACORN. The only thing that remains clear about Obama as a person is that he knows how to blow smoke.

President Obama receives an F due to his failure not only protect our country from jihadists but for bringing them into our backyards. Terrorists should be interrogated for information instead of being protect by lawyers. His failure to appoint qualified nominees such as Van Jones or ones that can't even pay their taxes shows his severe mismanagement of the federal government. This, on top of his deeply rooted connections to ACORN and extremists such as Bill Ayers and Reverend Wright highlight his far left convictions that have led him to create massive government expansions costing taxpayers trillions of dollars. By taking over programs traditionally run by the private such as health care, car companies, and the banking industry, Obama has managed to lead America down a dangerous path to socialism that needs to be stopped.

I think the President is conveniently forgetting a few key issues when gave himself a B+ grade for his first year in review. Our economy is still in shambles and the National debt is spiraling out of control due to a massive $700 billion dollar stimulus bills that the Democrats in Congress readily passed in the name of creating jobs. The public was told the bill would keep unemployment below 8 percent, but it is now 10 percent with no probability of lowering. We also have yet to see any definite evidence that the economy's underlying strength has returned and the middle class is suffering for it. The President also promised no new taxes for those individuals earning less than $250,000 per year; our Democratic controlled Congress recently passed a cap and trade energy bill that will have a severe negative financial effect on those of low or moderate means. In addition, we are also still waging a costly war in Afghanistan despite the promises of peace and we need only to mention Iran to summarize the president's incompetent foreign policy decisions. I think this qualifies as a failure or simply the opposite of B+.

I can't believe Obama gives himself a B-Plus grade for first year in office ! Let's see, his programs bust the Federal budget, fail to clean up Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and his proposals to increase taxes kill investor returns and thus hinder job growth. I'd give him an F, and describe his first year programs as mostly "cash for clunkers"!
