RELEASE: Romney Announces Illinois Endorsements
Today, Mitt Romney’s Free and Strong America PAC announced the endorsement of the following seven candidates in Illinois:
Congressman Mark Kirk: Congressman Mark Kirk currently represents the 10th Congressional District of Illinois and is now running for U.S. Senate. For more information about him and his campaign, visit http://www.kirkforsenate.com.
Congressman Peter Roskam: Congressman Peter Roskam currently represents the 6th Congressional District of Illinois and is running for reelection. For more information about him and his campaign, visit www.roskamforcongress.com.
Congressman Aaron Schock: Congressman Aaron Schock currently represents the 18th Congressional District of Illinois and is running for reelection. For more information about him and his campaign, visit www.aaronschock.com.

Dan Rutherford: Dan Rutherford currently represents the people of Illinois in the State Senate and is now running to become State Treasurer. For more information about him and his campaign, visit www.danrutherford.org.
The PAC also announced that it has already sent
Congressman Mark Kirk a maximum $5,000 general election contribution toward his U.S. Senate campaign, and that it will be sending Congressman Peter Roskam, Congressman Aaron Schock, Robert Dold, Randy Hultgren, and Adam Kinzinger each a $2,500 general election contribution toward their respective congressional campaigns. In addition, the PAC will be sending a $1,000 contribution to Dan Rutherford’s campaign for Treasurer.
“At a time when our leaders should be working to get our economy back on track, too many of them are more focused on expanding the scope and size of government. That is why it is critical that we elect leaders like Congressman Mark Kirk, Congressman Peter Roskam, Congressman Aaron Schock, Robert Dold, Randy Hultgren, Adam Kinzinger, and Dan Rutherford who will make it a priority to get our economy moving again and create an environment conducive to job creation,” said Romney.
These Illinois endorsements are the seventh in a series of state rollouts of the PAC’s 2010 endorsements, which are aimed at electing conservative candidates who will work to lower taxes and spending, restore commonsense principles to healthcare and get our economy moving again. As part of this program, Romney’s PAC also has announced endorsements in Ohio, Missouri, California, Pennsylvania, Hawaii, and Nevada.
